We offer the following fun and easy games and sites to help entertain
your children while you work at home.

For the 4-6 age group

CROCODILE RACE

Form a team of 4 - 10 players. Stand in a straight line behind a designated leader. Each player then put their hands on the hips or shoulders of the person in front of them. Everyone then crouches down bending their knees down their heels. The newly formed "crocodile" then races against the other team(s). You could race one way to end or have them race down the field and return! If the leader goes to fast the team behind will break up.

DUCKS AND COWS

This is a great way to divide a group of kids into two teams. Players close their eyes while one person goes about tapping them on their shoulders and designating them either "duck" or "cow." On a given signal the players must make their animal sounds to gather into their two teams. The ducks "quack" and the cows "moo."

Sesame Street Central
Look it's Big Bird Mom!

ALPHABET LETTERS

The object of this game is to get into groups of four players the form alphabet letters or words which a leader calls out.

LION AND MOUSE TAG

Gather everyone into a circle. Pass out two blindfolds. One player is the lion and the other player is the mouse. Whenever the lion roars the mouse must squeak. When the lion catches the mouse the game stops and the lion picks another mouse. The former mouse then becomes the lion.

BED SHEET PING PONG

Players stand and hold a bed sheet on opposite ends. A ping pong ball is placed onto the sheet. The sheet is then raised or lowered. The object of the game is to get the ping pong ball to fall off the other team's side.

Barney On-Line
You know! The big purple dinosaur!

BLOW PING PONG

Players form two teams and then kneel on their knees when their hands behind their backs on opposite sides of a table. The object is to blow the ping pong ball off the opponents side. Watch out you don't hyperventilate!

For the 7-12 age group- Fun for sleepovers, too!

TIDAL WAVE

This game is for four players. You will need two socks from each of the players and a blanket or bed sheet. Have everyone take off their socks and roll each of them into little balls. Put the rolled up socks in the middle of the sheet. Next everyone grabs onto each end of the sheet. Try to knock off everyone's socks! The winner is the last person who has at least one of his/her socks on the sheet.

FLASHLITE LIMBO

This game is just like Limbo. Use a flashlight and turn off all the lights. Have someone take the flashlight and turn it on and hold it straight out so the beam of light is straight. Have each player take turns going under, and as the game goes on lower the beam. The winner is the person who can go the lowest.

Wacky Web Tales
Like the old Mad Libs - you supply the words, and the site plugs them in to make a goofy story.

SLEEPING BAG GAME

This is fun. First you have to make an obstacle course. Have everyone climb into the sleeping bags and wiggle through it. You can try going under tables, over stacks of pillows, anything you want. Just be sure you remove all breakable and sharp objects in the room.

Find Waldo
remember Waldo? That sneaky little guy in the red hat? Now you have to search for him on the web! We even play this game!

 HIDE AND GIGGLE

This is a fun game, but it should have an adult present to monitor. Grab a bunch of blankets and sleeping bags. Open up the sleeping bags. Now you'll have a huge pile of blankets. You may want to get stuffed animals, too, so they look like people. One person is IT and leaves the room. Everyone else then scatters under the pile. The person comes back when all people are hidden.  IT must then slowly wade on top of the pile and using only his/her hands gently poke the piles to guess who is under. You can tickle in one spot for only 10 seconds! If IT guesses the right name - then, that person becomes the next IT.

Note: NO jumping on the pile - you won't know where people's heads are! ADULTS should monitor this one!

Welcome to ZuZu!
artwork, poetry, stories, and more, all submitted by kids from all over the world.

SOCK IT TO ME

The object of this game is to remove each other's socks, but keep your own socks on. You must stay within the designated boundaries. You cannot hold onto the ends of your socks (otherwise it will stretch out), but you can tickle your opponent in defense! Make a big circle (using masking tape for boundaries) or designate a certain space in a room. Remove furniture, breakable objects, unsafe sharp items from the edges. You can play this one on one or with a whole group of kids. If any part of your body goes outside the circle, then you're out. And if you hold onto your socks then you're out, too. Its like "King of the Hill" except its socks! The winner is the person who has at least one sock on!

This game is really not for boys and girls to play together. But they can play separately. It can get rough, but it is totally fun! Have your parent's observe this game to maintain safety and to make sure everyone obeys the rules.

FOOT CAPTIVES

This is a new game, I've never tried it before, but maybe you can post it for kids to try. Please tell me how it goes. This can be played indoors or outdoors. There are at least two teams, and each team has a guarded holding place, and a guarded jail. Players should start off with shoes and socks on (it is encouraged that players wear old socks, especially if playing outdoors where it might get really dirty). Team members try to take off the shoes and socks of opponents. Captured shoes and socks go in one of the holding places. If you are completely barefoot, you are brought back to the jail for a tickle torture. If, for example, just one of your shoes is taken off and you manage to get away, you are to remain playing like that (without one shoe). You can try to recapture peoples shoes and socks to be put back on. The only way to recapture a team member that is in jail, is to get their shoes and socks back, and get them to him/her in jail. Your team is out if everyone is completely barefoot on that team.

All games and/or sites submitted are to be played at your-own-risk.  There may be potential risk and necessary safety precautions which may be required before you play any game.
